Though our boundaries may scrape and slide
    Spheres of influence may collide
    Gravitation may pull you in
    In copulation we touch skin
It might seem we share the same mind
That we share our sight when we're both blind
In conversation we fake orgasms by and by
Until a moment of understanding I can see in your eyes
A fleeting feeling like you know what I mean
A gift of connection between our seperate scenes
It looks like theres one place where we can all agree
But you see things slightly differently than me
    We may share the air
    In breath and song
But always I knew that all along
    I'm in my own zone
And I'm completely and utterly alone

Thanks. The tone in this particular poem is sad, but the same revelation has been at other times a source of exuberance for me. Because if we are truly alone, everything is permitted.
