Has anyone ever had their eyebrows shaped? That's what it's called, right? Anyway, what do you have to do? Let them grow out and then have the person decide how they'll look best on your face? How much does it cost and where do you have to go? My eyebrows are really the only thing I don't like about myself, excluding my hair, but.. eyebrows are hair, so Thanks!
i've had mine done, and i've done other people's for them. it's not really a big deal. they'll either be plucked or waxed. (there is another method called threading, but not many places do it.) you can go to a salon or cosmetology school. some high end salons charge a lot for it, but i think you can generally get them done for around $10 bucks.
I get mine done once a month. It is about 15-25 depending on where you go. You can get it done for 5 or 6 but I wouldn't reccomend those places. You let them grow out to at least an 1/8 of an inch. It takes like 10 minutes it hurts a little. If you are good about tweezing you shouldn't need to go more than every other month-i am too much of a wimp to tweeze.
loveflower, yeah, you have to let them grow out some, in order for there to be something to shape. also, most people don't realize it, but each time you wax/pluck, you are damaging the hair follicle. eventually some of the hairs won't grow back. generally that's a good thing, because it means that they will be easier to maintain at some point. sometimes it's not such a great thing. my mom used to pluck hers too much (er...ocd tendencies, lol). now she barely has any at all (especially on one eye...wierd..). they won't grow back. juicy, i can do other people's but i cannot do my own. i generally make my mom do them, lol. i let my teachers do them when i was in cosmetology school, but i never let the students work on them. hahaha i saw some of the screw ups they made.
i got mine done a while back. and got my eyelashes dyed. that was interesting. if you wear makeup and have light colored eyelashes, i totally suggest getting that done too. or be like i usually am, when my aunt doesn't have the urge to do girly things and pay for me, and go natural. that saves money and time.
when i feel like it, i pluck my eyebrows but 1/2 the time i'm just too lazy. I dont go anywhere to get them waxed. Paying money for that seems overrated (though I have done it a couple times, cuz I was in a hurry). Speaking of waxing, I tried waxing my legs once, and it bruised my leg after just two strips...so that didnt' work out well.
I get mine waxed every 3 weeks And I only have 3 people I'm willing to let do it most people don't even know mine are waxed because I keep them thick I hate super thin eyebrows
