so I've tripped a good 8 times this last week-ish and I've got 8 bags that have some shroom shake just sittin in the bags. I was wondering if it was possible to grow shrooms w/ this shake? Now I attempted getting something going last week w/ the shake and clumps in my bag by throwing mulch, fertilizer, mulch, and some more fertilizer in this old pickle jar(I sterilized it fyi) and I was sure to keep it moist and under a decent warmth... but nothin seems to be poppin up. I figured I just failed because I tried an outdoor method(kinda), w/o any past experience, inside... or I thought it was possible the shake and clumps was just too dry or didnt contain enough spores*(if any).

anyways im willing to follow a more direct method and actually put some effort into this next try if anyone can help comfirm if this shake is any good for growing or not. if it isnt, fuck it... I'll just crack down and buy a growing kit or something and maybe invest in some exotic spores... but im just looking for the easy way out lol.

no way that will work. if you really want to grow shrooms start by lookin up the pf tek on youtube or google or w.e. or go to shroomery.org. youll also need to buy spores off a site cant just use shake from your bag you would need a peice of tissue from a living mushroom fruit. and then still you couldnt just throw it in a pickle jar with mulch and fertilizer you need proper subtrate and casing.

    lol. you wish.

maybe if you had some sterile spore prints, or fresh shrooms you could clone.

Not even gonna work. I suggest holding off on buying any kind of kit & buy a copy of The Mushroom Cultivator and read on shroomery.org and shroomtalk.com's forums for about a year before you even consider growing.

That's pretty much like throwing all the little bits of weed that get stuck in the baggy in some soil and hoping for a cannabis plant, lol.

you can grow mycelium from bag spore, but it takes a lot of fucking work.

this is true. You can even resurrect new growth from a dried mushroom but its very hard and even with the spores that may be present in your bag of verm (shroom flake) you would need to isolate on agar and work you way up from their. Way to much work when you can just got to Ralphstersspores.com and buy a sterile syringe for under 20 bucks and in theory never have to buy spores again if done properly

myco ferments are good but after a while it will grow tired, you need to go back to spores to get a fresh vigorous strain running every so often, you cant give up on spores man.

this is true but my LC is pretty young (2weeks old) and it's barely been used so its pretty damn healthy and the myc is vigorous. after i use the entire LC (wish me good luck with that :p) im going to do a couple clones from some choice fruits to a new LC, and then after that generation fruits i will start over from spores in a new LC. i shouldn't need to use spores though for a long long time.

YES, you can grow shrooms off the shake, if there are spores in there, but dealing with contams will be a bitch, you would have to use petri dishes to separate the mold from the mycelium.

You can also grow mushrooms from dried shrooms, but this is a long complicated method, pm me if you would like a link to it though.

Just order spores from sporeworks.com, they have a good deal on syringes, plus you can get a free syringe through them, pm me for that as well.
