There are ways of getting your message across without offending the shit out of people. Some people have a knack for this, Trump totally lacks it. He may not like aliens but he's damn sure into alienation.

 

I would agree that in some at least some cases, 1st world corporations are manipulating 3rd world governments in order to ensure that they are able to extract natural resources.

In other cases (such as Haiti), 1st world NGO's are the only force preventing total collapse of the society.

Allowing talented immigrants in may create a "brain drain", but in many cases, those immigrants talents would have been wasted in their home countries. They also often send back money to their countries. Many doctors in third-world countries get their education in the US and do their residencies in US city hospitals before returning to their home countries.

If there's a way that 1st world countries are screwing the 3rd world, it's with mass media and greenhouse gas emmissions

 

The problem with what you call the 'shit hole' nations is not us helping them or taking in refugees from war torn areas. It is the way that we have exploited their cheap labor in a misguided attempt to help them. At first it seemed a good idea, but few people wanted to accept that with every item we buy, a job at home is lost. Before the impact started to show, we had too much money and allowed property prices to inflate. Then the crunch started, leaving thousands of people jobless and unable to afford to buy home produced good. This just compounded the situation making more people jobless, few people being able to afford a decent home and the country drifting into a downward spiral.
Newtons law that states, "for every action, their is an equal and opposite reaction". extends way beyond the laws of physics.

 

Hundreds have called New Jersey a S**t hole. Its not going to get me as excited as the talking heads on MSNBC.

That is so right! All those illegals who came here undocumented from Germany and England and other European nations can't go back or don't want to go back to their shit holes.

 

If the Appalachian region of the US were it's own nation then I guess Trump would consider it a shithole also; high levels of illiteracy, poverty, unemployment, drug abuse. What do you say baldnbare, do those fine examples of whiteness deserve their own shithole country? It would be fine with me, get them off the damn Medicaid train.

Norway has free higher education, free healthcare (before anyone says it, yes everyone knows it isnt actually free..), paid maternity and paternity leave, and 6 weeks paid vacation + 25 paid holidays + sick time

The US has none of those things ...but we do have mass shootings!

I reckon North Korea, is a shit hole nations. Most the Middle East too. Some Indian and Asian provinces literally are shit holes, much with worn torn Middle East. No toilet infrastructure just people shitting on the street. I'd define that as a pretty big shit hole to live in.
