I don't wish Trump was in my town. I don't like any political figure. I don't do politics. The term Reich can be translated to the term "realm" in which were areas of the Deutsch kingdom and kingship. America has no king, nor any king. It is not a Kingship, she's never been a kingdom. Therefore you have no reich, or 4th Reich or whatever justification you use to declare your leader a Nazi. You're using that word to describe a population based on what, a salute. Dear God, the people and citizens have been saluting their peers from day one on this planet. You're using the word "Nazi" on false grounds, you only know what a Nazi was in the 1940s, you're purposely disregarding any relavant information on the subject at hand because you don't believe it or because you don't want to believe it. What you're doing is wrong and cold hearted. I really don't know which is worse, the Trump supporters, or the ones who retaliate under false grounds, doctrines and ill education.
I understand that and neither do I but that wasn't really the point I was trying to make either lol. I don't want people to go "oh, okay she's right and genocide was not a platform for Nazism in its creation so Nazis are cool" I want people to go "oh, okay she's right and I've just learned that genocide wasn't a platform for Nazism in its creation." I also want an admition that they were wrong in saying that it was, but I won't hold my breath.
The Hussaini Brigade was made up of soldiers/recruits from Palestine and Albania and some Bosnians. The Germans would only accept Muslims who passed the test of "Looks White". There were a total of about 35000 men. That was it. No Muslim nation openly supported or allied with Hitler. Most during WWII were already occupied by France or Italy or The UK. Iraq was in talks with Germany concerning the sale of oil. Hitler wanted Iraqi oil in a bad way. The New York times has articles about British air raids in 1941/42. These air raids were launched from Occupied (British Mandate) Palestine and TRANSJORDAN into Iraq, were the report states there were German air bases. There is no supporting historical evidence to bolster your claim that Muslims were Nazis. There may very well have been some Nazi Muslims here and there; but, the Germans would most likely have looked down on them for being of an inferior race. By the way, I have a degree and I am older than Santa Clause.
You're completely missing my point. But whatever it's cool you're right Mr. Professor with your degree and I'm wrong. You're an American Nazi too, so you should know.
They did more than just single out Jews in a couple of places. We have to compare and contrast actions with the written document. The Nazis came close to total extermination of the Jewish people. There are people alive today who can report this first hand and eye witness style.
Nope you're still a Nazi. You're an American and are under rule of a Nazi. You are supporting of Nazi agenda.
Thank you M...I sort of like being treated like a White Fella for a minute or two! Thought you might get a charge outta dat?
Oh please your defence on a Nazi only comes down to the color of one's skin in which we have ready documented that a Nazi is not a race or culture. Lol, you're just digging your own hole. Lol.
OK...you can treat me like I am White. I don't mind...it really does not hurt that much....people don't treat me like a White person that often. I will not get depressed or anything.
OK cool, deal. I greatly anticipate your upcoming new and revised world history book publishing. It should be named: Storm Mountains revised world history - an Americans perspective.
But your position, logical as it is, impinges on the convenience factor so prevalent these days. Personally, I can't figure out what Trump is or any other billionaire for that matter (including Oprah). People like that live miles above most of us, so their idiosyncrasies are not within our means to grasp let alone define. So, it's MUCH easier to simply call Trump a Nazi, and in the most generic terms of 1-liners and slogans. Anything deeper is just not popular. We actually studied Mein Kampf when I was in high school, in San Rafael. Not because our history teacher wanted to make us into Nazis, but to show where things went awry. Hitler was a patriot, but to the extreme in many ways. But a taste for power is what drove his break from reality. Initially all he wanted was for Germany to regain the pride they knew before the Treaty of Versailles. He was deeply affected by what he saw as German leaders capitulating and making backroom deals with German resources, then agreeing to reparations that would have taken decades to pay. But you also have to think about where Hitler was when he wrote the bulk of that book, in prison. That's a lot of time to reflect and go down some very dark holes. Today the term Nazi is tossed about as an insult. Since they were so horrible, calling people Nazi MUST be the worst insult you can wield. But Trump is far more complicated than any common Nazi. And it's about time people woke up to that. Consider how many wives he's cheated on, in a very public way. Is there any doubt he'll cheat on Americans as well? His capitulation to DACA is being held up as an example, but I don't agree with that. It would be one of the few humanitarian things he does and it should be encouraged. However, the parents of the DACA kids KNEW they were breaking the law, a law that's even more profound in Mexico. So I have zero sympathy for them as I'd expect them to have for me if the situation was reversed (I'd fkin LOVE to live on the neach in Baja, but nooooo, Gringos aren't allowed to buy beachfront property in Mexico). As for shithole nations, I've been to a few. The most obvious contrasting example is Hispaniola. Haiti is a shithole, I've been there. On the same island is the Dominican Republic, which is freaking awesome, they even have trees! But my assessment is unfair since the real measure of a nation is a composite example of the people who make up that nation. On the issue of American shitholes, I may be biased, but when I was growing up, it was Oakland for the most part and the Loin in San Francisco as well. A nation this size has all kinds of pockets of shitholes, but the entire nation certainly isn't (thankfully).
What is this argument even about anymore I thought all the history classes i've taken over the years were pretty comprehensive regarding WWII, I was taught that some parts of the Middle East aligned with the Axis powers and some with the Allies. And I was also taught or maybe learned on my own, I don't remember now, that Hitler and the Nazi party did a lot of good for the economy of Germany, it was the way they earned the support of the German people, by building the country up and creating a strong economy. Of course it didnt start with genocide, nothing ever does. But there was an anti Jew sentiment in Germany, all of Europe really, that made it ripe for genocide I will be the first to admit Americans are a bunch of ignorant dumbasses but even I am starting to take umbrage with the notion that Americans are clueless and brainwashed about Nazi Germany lol.
WWII was a crazy complex time. Remember many nations were already occupied by European powers and had to go along with their masters. Some places like Somalia were occupied by Italy but had little to do with the German Africa Corps. It's really crazy that powerful men use modern equipment to make war and gain the wealth of other people that way. There are sensible alternatives to getting rich.
I don't know. But it's starting to get a little personal and I see the potential for hurt feelings and increased tempers, so I'm bowing out.
The argument was about the term Nazi being thrown about with little thought into what it actually meant. When one hears the word Nazi, they immediately think of racism and genocide. I illustrated, with facts that this wasn't entirely correct. People then chose not to research, but to argue what they only thought they knew. When one person did the research, they confirmed what I had already said. The rest of the people won't research and maintain their own personal beliefs and opinions. Nobody has actually pulled out any facts to support their claims, because there are none and then thereore chose to completely disregard any information posed to them and instead, swept it under the carpet and continued with what they think they remember being taught. The only ones who are going to have hurt feelings are the ones who actually research the piece of key evidence already posted and recognise that what I said was correct. That the origins of Nazism did not stem from an ideology of genocide. There won't be any hurt feeling though, because it's quite evident that nobody wants to actually learn the origins or the lies behind their claims. Instead it's easier to single out a young woman who's desperately trying to provide a valid point and reasoning behind her arguments.
Oh, okay. I lost the trail of the conversation and wasn't sure how we got here lol. I dont think anyone is singling you out, they're just disagreeing, but take it from me, you'll never win an argument on the internet even if you are correct. Everyone loses in internet debate lol and everyone thinks they actually won. Anyways i get the point you're making but because of the Holocaust the term Nazi will forevermore be associated with genocide and racism despite its more humble beginnings. Like people associate Marxism more with Stalin and authoritarian communism and the slaughter of millions of people rather than associating it with the benign intellectual philosopher that was Karl Marx. Words change and develop different connotations over time. Like the swastika. It will be forever ruined even though its history is much older than the Nazi party I did see one in an Indian restaurant the other day, random side note .
