...is it a genetic or learned response, or is it both? Are we born being attracted to one kind of person, or do we learn through experiences, or are we taught what is attractive? What makes a person or sexually attractive to you? Would or did you look for some one different to have sex with as opposed some one to marry?

The really weird thing I've noticed is that the people I'm attracted to sexually when I'm single are completely different from the people I date. That's not to say I'm not attracted to the people I date, I just find that when I fall for someone, he's very rarely anything like what I would describe as "my type".

I've noticed that for myself attraction has evolved over time. Now who I find most alluring is quite different that 3 or 5 years ago. What's with that?

Same again. Even really superficial stuff has changed over time, like preferring dark hair now rather than the dumb blondes I used to like.
