The thing wrong with it is, how much do you trust the person you're sending it to? It could end up anywhere if you just do it whenever you feel like it, and that kind of thing costs you jobs. It'll be mighty hard to explain to your kids one day why you can't afford to put food on the table because your prospective boss checked around the internet on you and found something questionable. Sucks, because we all make mistakes (or we all have our own views on the subject if it's not exactly a mistake), but that's the way it is.
