I'm a 38 year old male and I've been sexually active since I was 13. I caught an STD one time in my life, Gonorrhea/Chlamydia and had it treated, that was quite a few years back. While I don't get tested religiously, I do at least every two years and except for that one incident I've always passed with flying colors. Here's my problem. Most women I sleep with for any length of time start to develop a vaginal odor. Needless to say this sucks. I was married for 9 years and this did not happen to my wife until after our first child, we had her at about the 6 year mark. I've never been big on condoms, always preferring the rhythm method, or female contraceptives. My ex wife never developed this problem until after children because I always pulled out. Her diagnosis ended up being bacterial vaginosis. Treatment did not work when I was with her (and she tried everything, working in obstetrics) but she said once we split up, it cleared up, although we did get back together for short periods of time and the odor was still there. Definitely NOT in the first years though. We split up exactly two years ago and I've had 6 partners since, three of them lasted 3 months or more. I just got a whiff from my current girlfriend of four months. Now i have major anxiety as I'm really into this girl. Has anyone else had this problem with repeated partners? I'm finally getting over my failed marriage and getting on with my life having full custody of my 3.75 and 4.75 years old daughters. I love this girl. Am I messing up her pH? Is there anything I can take to change the pH of my own fluids? HELP!
