    Freedom in the US???
Are you aware that you may be arrested (and put on a public registry for the rest of your life and be required to report all your passwords & email addresses to the sheriff) if you have consensual sex with a minor (teens w/teens!),urinate in public, look at 'certain types of pictures' on the net too long (not even downloading them!),mooning or streaking?
You will not be allowed to live or work within a 1000ft from a school, daycare center, church, park, any place 'children' congregate.
The Library, attending church, ballgames are off limits.

    Just something to think about.

Contact your legislators to change these crazy laws!

It's pretty ridiculous.. I think that if a girl knows what she's doing and wants to have sex with a guy a couple years her senior it shouldn't be a crime for that guy to give in to it.
And doesn't it pretty much go against the first ammendment that they can't go to church?

i don't mind the sex offender laws, when they apply to sex offenders. i don't think that public urination or mooning should be included though.

depends on the situation, I would think pissing in front the k grade kids on a nature walk would be a sex offense, pissing in a dark alley at 2am would be what it is.. PU.

well yeah, i would agree with that. but including PU in all forms is certainly taking it a bit far.

I think the bigger issue is not putting offenders on the list that were arrested and convicted prior to the registration laws, and there is proof the current offenders were arrested in the past and not on the list..

The laws are often vague in definition and overbroad in their reach.

They don't always differentiate between sex "offence" and sex "predation," which could include innocent nudity such as pissing in public and happen to be seen by a kid. (And if you didn't make an issue of it the kid would not be traumatized by seeing nakedness - nudist kids survive it all the time).

So the laws are often a product of body negative ppl who are the same ones that have problems with T-backs and top free women on modern cosmopolitan beaches.

Also, some ppl who were convicted of "sex crimes" in the past, before the sex offender lists were incorporated, could have done a plea deal to avoid court. Faced with being registered for life on the list they likely would have taken their chances with a jury trial to explain their simple necessity to piss and that they were not really a sex criminal.

So, having sex registry is a good idea but the laws need to be worked so that it is not such an arbitrary crap shoot as to who is a sex offender. The legal age of sexual consent varies in the US from 15 to 18. That should be more standardized.

A 15-year-old who sends out a naked pic of themselves can be (and have been) charged with child pornography and put on the sex registry for life, which prevents them from working in many professions. Does anyone think that makes sense?

Yea, my brother had a carnal knowledge of a juvenile charge because she was young and he was older and she got pregnant and they sent sex offender notices to every house including ours and now hes on a registry and shit.
Sucks because we all know hes not a rapist.. Him and a young female just made a bad decision.

I just read an article in the SF Weekly about a month ago about the sex offender laws in California. Here is the fucked up part of the law. When a sex offender is released on probation he has to serve it where he is arrested. If he was arrested in San Francisco he has to serve out his parole in San Francisco. The sex offender laws in California also state that an offender can't spend more than 2 hours within 100 feet of a school, park, playground, or other place where children congrigate. There are certain exceptions like to charge the GPS anklet they use to track their movements. They also have to keep a detailed log of where they have been and submit it every couple of days.

I know you're saying what's so fucked up about that. San Francisco is only 7 miles by 7 Miles. There is no place in San Francisco that is more than 100 feet from a school, park or place where children congrigate. So essentially after their prison term is up they end up in a 49 square mile open air prison (i.e. they become homeless). Would that make you feel safe. One of the men interviewed for the article said, "It would only take me 10 minutes to rape an 11 year old and 3 days for them to figure out that I wasn't where I said I was when I raped that 11 year old." Do you still have no problems with The Sex Offender Laws.

    Peace Out,

If you don't like the sex offender laws don't be a fucking depraved pervert.

Plain and simple. Read these words (NOT directed at any individual!):

If you diddle kids, you deserve to die.

Taking a piss is perverted? What are we supposed to do, tie a knot in it if we can't find a bathroom? Piss in our pants? Now that would be fucking perverted!

@ Sam Stoned: Do you check ID before you have sex? Ever have a girl lie to you about her age before you bang her? Piss in the bushes? Get porn with your internet account?

Some porn web sites sell their member lists indescriminantly. Some of the people that buy those lists are in the child pornography business. There have been cases where someone was sent kiddie porn as spam and deleted it. When you delete a file it stays on your hard drive until it is overwritten. If you take your computer in for repairs and they find child pornography on your computer they have to report you. Say you get kiddie porn spam and erase it. Then the next day your computer goes down. You bring it in to get fixed and low and behold they find pictures of naked 8 year olds on your computer. Welcome to the world of the registered sex offender you sick fuck. That is all it takes. The laws are flawed, and need to be fixed.

    Peace Out,

In Florida a "kid" can be 17 years and 364 days old.

In most states adolescents are no longer defined as a kid after 16 years and can have consensual sex.

I've taken plenty of pisses out side. Even had cops see me do it. You aren't going to get charged as a sex offender for taking a piss, unless you are fucking waving it around in front of little kids.

Then you deserve what you get. Child predators are amongst the worst scum known to humanity.

The laws aren't terrible, they should be better deffined though.

The crazyest one (in my opinion) is that if a minor takes a nude pic of themself and sends it to another minor, and the one who recieves it gets caught, it is considered child porn and they can be labeled a pedophile for life.

Actually, it depends on the cop. I seem to remember about 15 years ago James Hetfeild from Metallica was arrested for pissing in the bushes in Golden Gate Park while getting drunk and playing football with friends. He was probably pretty beligerent too.

And the point that can also be made is that if you look at all of the laws with all of the sub-categories of "sex-offender" everybody on this post is guilty of at least one of them. That doesn't make you a pedofile, or a pervert. There are some things that we can agree are wrong and damaging like child molestation, rape, etc.

Alot of our "sex laws" are draconian and stilted. For example if you are a man and change your clothes without closing your blinds you can get arrested for indecent exposure if a woman sees you. If a woman changes her clothes without shutting her blinds and you peek (and you know you would for at least a second) then you would be brought in as a peeper.

In a lot of states there are still Sodomy Laws. The legal definition of Sodomy is "Any sex act that is practiced that cannot lead to impregnation." This includes Oral, Anal, Homosexuality, Masturbation and Birth Control. Again the law is very specific that this only pretains to men.

Now the flaw in your thinking is that your definition of "Sex Offender" is way narrower than the Legal Definition. There are people who have been arrested and have to register who's crimes don't have to do with children. As a matter of fact there are people who get arrested and have to register who's crimes don't even involve other people. Such as people that get arrested for Skinny Dipping (it's still indecent exposure).

As a matter of fact using legal definitions a woman can't be arrested for indecent exposure. A handfull of female students were arrested at the University of Maine in Orano during a protest for indecent exposure for being naked. The Charges were thrown out because the definition of indecent exposure is "Making your genitals visible in a public place." Since a womans genitals are convieniently tucked between her legs it is almost impossible to expose them in public.

In Texas if a woman owns more than 5 sex toys it is a fellony. Guess who has to register as a sex offender.

I could go on all day about this but I think I've made my point. The "Sex Offender" next door could be you.

    Peace Out,
    Rev J
