Anyone read Chuck Klosterman's Sex Drugs and Cocopuffs? Described by Klosterman as a low-culture manifesto, it's a book thats half philosophy half sociology through the eyes of a dude who grew up studying Real World, Saved by the Bell, and Guns and Roses. I recommend it for any modern day philosophers.
oh man! this is one of those books that is next of my list of book i want to read. is it any good, have you read it?
I had ever laughed so hard, as I did when I read the "25 questions" part? auctually, the entire book is pure gold. I knew I'd love it when i saw that the first chapter was called "This is emo." classic.
a fine book indeed. i don't agree with all of klosterman's opinions, in fact, some of them made me angry, but in retrospect i couldn't put it down. actually, im about due to read it again. i wish there were more authors like klosterman who expressed their insights in a such a humorous manner - he is a very intellegent man. peace <33
Sex, drugs, and cocoa puffs sucks ass compared to his other two...especially "killing yourself to live"
If you want to read a Funism Book about all sorts of Sex Humor, pick up a copy of Guy Talk, Girl Talk by Sal Marino (www.salmarinoauthor.com). It's an amusingly filthy account of sexual yearnings, unfulfilled love and the not so ordinary oddities of everyday life. You'll get a kick out of it...
