My 5 yr old grand-daughter was watching sesame street this morning. I asked her who her fave character was on the show but she couldn't name 1. So I asked my 10 yr old son & he likes Elmo....my daughter who will be 8 yrs old next week like Bert. My favorite has always been Big Bird. Who is your fave character on Sesame Street?
OH! I Loved that show when I was little! I've always absolutly LOVED elephants and sense snuffleupagus most resembles one (I'm not sure exactly what the hell he's supposed to be! lol), he was always my favorite I also went through a short phase where cookie monster was my fav. Bert and Ernie.... hmmm.... do you think they're supposed to be Gay? didn't they bathe together often? hehe

Just One Me Words and Music by Jeff Moss 1977 Festival Attractions, Inc. (ASCAP) sung by Big Bird (Carroll Spinney) There's just one me Nobody like me Take a look and see Just one me The sound of my voice is like no voice that you've heard Whatever I am, I know I'm one special bird! There's just one me Nobody like me Look around and you'll agree In the whole wide world of people that you see There is just one me! There's just one you Nobody like you Take a look, it's true Just one you The smile on your face is like no smile that I've seen You're one special person if you know what I mean There's just one you No other person Who does all the things you do Yes, it's absotively, posolutely true There is just one you!
Awww. Sesame street. Oh,the memories. I used to watch that all the time. Sometimes it would be highly entertaining and wonderful, othertimes I'd get so confused it would scare me. Kind of like good and bad acid trips...Oh,and my favourite character is snuffy & grover.
I wrote a short story in High School about the Muppets infiltrating Sesame Street to take over their turf and control the drug trade that Big Bird and Snuffy were currently running. I got an A.
i always looooved grover, specially when he mixed up that blue guy in the bowler cap's order at the resturant... bert and ernie were NEVER gay, if they were, they would have admitted it although i said grover was my favorite, basil, louie [dodi too to a very small extent, i didnt like her much] will always be a close tie for second [they were on canadain sesame street]...Basil ws a polar bear, and louie was his best friend, a french weasle, or otter, or somethign...dodi was just a green lady who flew a plane...
It's been so long ago since I last saw Sesame Street so I can barely remember the show. I loved it as a kid and if was still on in the Uk I'd be still watching it and I'm not ashamed to say that not in the slightest. Anyway, my favourite character has to be the Cookie Monster!
probably big bird. he kept the show together. when the married couple were having marital problems, he was the one who stepped in and made things better.
http://www-cs-students.stanford.edu/~csilvers/muppet-characters.html i still love this show. i think i watch it more than my children. favorite character is Roosevelt Franklin.. he sings the birthday song i just love! i remember when mr hooper died.. i cried (even though i was 8 or 9). i'm so happy it's still mr hoopers store and theirs pictures of him all over sesame street.. what a way to be remembered.
oh shit...anyone remember the "wet paint" song? or the song the owl sang to ernie about playing the sax while holding a duckie?
ive got no clue how it acctually goes...all i remember is "wet pain, wet paint" which is the background vocals...and a bunch of paint dripping down the camera and stuff maybe im insane
ahahaha .. sesame street has changed a lot in the past few years.. not as good as it used to be. DARN ELMO'S WORLD!!! my kids love their website.. www.sesamestreet.com my 3yr old will sit and play for HOURS! "I WANNA PLAY ELMO! I WANNA PLAY ELMO!" she's 3 and knows her ABC's and can count to 20. seems she only picked it up.. really understood what i had been singing and counting to her after playing on their site.
"WET PAINT-WET PAINT!" "One-Two-Three-Four-Five-Six-Seven-Eight...NINE, TEN...!" "...ELEVEN, TWELVE!" Anyone rememeber Guy Smiley? "i remember when mr hooper died.. i cried (even though i was 8 or 9)." I remember that episode too...when Big Bird wanted to know what happened to him...I think I was about six or seven, and hit the roof. I think it was the first time I ever dealt with the concept of Death before... Wow...now that I think of it, I learned a lot from Sesame Street...
