For those of you who thought Anita Roddick's selling out to Loreal was bad enough, shock! For those of you who thought it was okay to shop at Pret a Manger, Shock Horror! McDONALDS OWN ONE THIRD OF PRET!! As we all know they are a multinational corporation and therefore cannot be trusted any more than Coca Cola or Nestle!!! Tell me I'm not just overreacting here? And I know that this has been going on for ages, probably, but I only just found out. But after all that stuff about organic and fairtrade, they're with McDonalds? Yeesh

Nestle? Not NESTLE?!?! They make Smarties and (I think) Minstrels. Combined they are the trippiest sweets going.
Nestle also pushed baby formula to impoverished, generally lactose intolerant africans, leaving a widespread swath of malnutrition.
Its like 2 extreems a) people/companies wana look good so they help a tiny ammount of the population in Africa of somewhere and make a huge deal out of it or b) people say they don't care because it doesn't affect them, but if they were in those conditions the'd proably be doing the most complaining I'm not saying everyone is like that, some people just do thigs out of the goodness of their hearts, but people like that are a rare breed. I think it everyone did a little bit to help out of the goodness of their hearts, rather than sitting on the side lines it would make a huge difference.
