Self Piercing Lip, Question.

Alright, so my parents are lame and wont allow me to pierce my lip.

but im doing it anyways

so, how should i go about doing this

and can anyone think of anything i could use as a lipring that you can like find anywhere

like a paperclip or a pin or someshit?

The best way is to wait until you're 18, move out and get it done professionally. I know people will tell you they've pierced XYZ themselves and it was fine; however, that doesn't make it a good idea. If you must do it, try to find a hollow bore piercing needle that is sterilized(check bmezine.com). This will be sharper, cause less damage to surrounding tissue, and be less painful. With a lip ring, it is important to consider ddamage and wear to you teeth, so proper placement is key. This is highly depedant on your anatomy.

Are you really willing to put whatever random ass shit in your lip? Get a high quality CBR or labret stud. Make sure it is large eough to accomodate swelling.

Really, this is your face. It can be done, but its not the greatest idea. Also, if the rents aren't hip to you getting it done professionally, what are they gonna say when they see some piece of wire or ear stud in your crusty lip?

Its really your choice, but I suggest waiting to get it done properly.

Seriously, grow up dude! I know it's hard to hear but grow up! There is a reason your parents don't want you to get a piercing (probably because you are immature... after reading your post!). You need to realize that your parents know more than you think they do. Piercings are for people who deserve to have them and know how to take care of them. Not a 16 year old rebel who is going to do a shitty ass job and then never clean it causing it to get infected and possibly have health issues because of the bacteria sitting in your face. You make think it's funny or far fetched but it isn't. Do some research, piercings are not things you need to do with no experience. Even professional piercers can make mistakes... a 16 year old kid who is pissed at his parents is not going to be successful.
If you really want the piercing, the best way to go about getting it, is to show your parents that you are mature enough to deserve it. Which too me seems like it will be pretty hard for your to accomplish. Doing it yourself.... not mature at all and your parents will probably make you take it out. (Which is a big mistake in itself!) Just talk to them about it. If you have to wait till you are 18 then by god you should! I know I had to.
But honestly, if you go through with it, you are risking your health as well as your relationship with your parents and family. Now honestly, is a piercing that important?

I would wait. And you shouldn't want to put just anything in your face... think about that. Wait a few years and see if you still want it. Then discuss it like an adult with your parents, not as a child not getting what he/she wants.

for real, its your choice, your parents just dont want you to do something that could potentially harm you or look "different"...but if you are going to do it...buy rubbing alcohol, iodine, cotton swabs, latex gloves, listerine and a small gauged ring...first of all, make sure you have a clean surface and clean area...lay everything out and make sure it is all in order..rinse your face, rinse the piercing, both with antibacterial soap, listerine your mouth for about close to a minute, oh yes, before anything, put the jewelry in alochol and let it sit through this process, and then put the gloves on, get a cotton swab or qtip, put some alcohol on it, rub it on desired setting for your lip ring, after this pull the jewelry out, wash it while you still have the gloves on, dry it off with a paper towel, NO TOWELS!!, they harbor bacteria, dry the gloves off with same paper towel, use a cotton swab and put iodine on it, apply this to your lip only on the oustide, and then apply it to the jewelry, wipe it off then place your finger (preferably thumb) on the inside of you lip, make sure to measure it correctly, so the jewelry doesnt go in diagonally, its hard to tell if you are doing it yourself, make sure that its even, push the jewelry through, it will take force, once the jewelry is touching your thumb, put in your index finger so your fingers on either side of the piercing, push it through, clamp the jewelry, then dab at the piercing,not hard, with warm water..you should keep a cotton swab of water on it for a good 5 minutes...using breathing techniques, they work wonders..inhale before you are about to pierce, then exhale while pushing the jewelry in..

this is only if you decide to do it yourself...which people frown upon because it is bad..but I have been here before, and I used this technique...good luck..and make sure to keep everything around you clean, be careful touching it, and dont irritate it..sleep on clean surfaces..
