    That is kind of cool. I never did get anything out of punching a pillow. I would much rather write about my feelings in a journal.
    Some of that stuff also seems to be "psychology for dummies," where some people too those rules as gospel rather than a starting point... like the one about visualizing success. I'm sure it was meant to mean, "visualize yourself successful to get over your fear that you can't be successful," not "visualize yourself successful and you will magically become successful." Naturally you have to take steps in between. It's just a starting point to get over the initial discouragement.
    Blerg, I'm going off on a thing. Good article!

    i wouldn't follow the advice from either 'side'.
