Self Absorbed America

Why is evreyone in America only in it for themselves? maby not everyone but the majority is. Sometimes its really hard to not get absorbed but we must find ways to not be so. Like being more giving and caring. Alot of people love taking the easy way out and try so hard to be the most popular person or the most loved. You cant be loved by everyone its impossible. Why do so many complete shitheads get so far in the most fucked up of ways? Why do so many grateful individuals get such bad luck? Why is this world so topsy turvey?

 

Why does everyone in New Jersey make sweeping generalizations?

 

americans are hedonistic.

 

Hold on. You gotta make up your mind. Either you're talking about "America" or the world.

 

Did we go up or down?? We were all war mongers and killers and gun crazy now we are self absorbed, is it better??

 

It's called WESTERN CULTURE. It's not limited to America, though in a big way it does emanate from America. Go to Canada, Europe or Australia, and you'll find people aren't much less self-absorbed. Western culture conditions people to be self-absorbed and materialistic from birth. It's the idea that happiness comes from the accumulation of wealth and material possessions.

 

People in Canada are riteous and have the right to be self absorbed.

It's more like, "let me see how much I can get away with here."

 

sociopaths make very successful businessmen.

 

And politicians. And military leaders. And police.
