Other than myself (I was in flip-flops for once), I saw five other people barefoot today. Here in Britain, shops don't have these stupid NSNSNS policies, so you can walk around without your shoes on. I was in my local Asda, and I saw two young girls with two different mothers. Once was sat in a trolley with no shoes on, about 5 years old and had flip flops in the trolley. I only saw her briefly, but nevertheless I saw that she was barefoot. I also saw another young girl about 9 years old with her mother, wandering round in her bare feet with no shoes in site. I saw her a few times, and she had terribly grubby soles, which suggested she had been barefoot most of the day, and I saw her in the car park later on still barefoot. On the way to the shops on the bus I saw two young boys, both about 10. They were both messing around and putting their feet up on the seats like boys do, and I got off. When I got back on a couple of hours later, I saw them again, which suggested that they were there to stay, maybe with the driver or something for the day. On the way back, they were a bit restless, and one of them took off his trainers and put them in the holder at the front of the bus. Kids being kids, the other soon followed. One of them was wearing bright orange socks and the other a grey kind of colour, but the soles were pitch black with the footprints. Within minutes of the shoes coming off, the socks followed too, and both the boys were messing around the aisle of the bus in their barefeet, running round, putting their feet up etc. As I got off, little over half an hour later, they were sat down with their feet up, and I manages to catch a glimpse of their soles, which were absolutely pitch black like their socks. The last person I saw was stood on a street. This was after I had got off the bus, and I was walking down the street. As I walked along, I saw a young woman, probably early twenties, on a phone with ballet flats in her hands and no socks. She was stood there without a care in the world and when she wandered off, you could see how the pavement had made her soles a dusty grey. The day took me by surprise considering the modern day views on being barefoot, especially when so many children grow up wearing shoes and seeing feet as disgusting. So, I know it's rare to see others barefoot in the western world what with it being labelled such a taboo, let alone five people in one day, but have you ever seen other people barefoot in public before? Who, where, when? Share your stories! =D
On the way to one of my favorite restaurants, I saw two young ladies in their mid twenties getting out of their car and walking across the street. One of them was barefoot. I watched as she walked across the street in 90 degree heat. I, myself, was in my car, driving barefoot as usual. I unfortunately had to put my flip flops on to go into the restaurant.
Ill fill this tread up quick, lol..... I tend to stray my eyes on womens feet, I dont care if they notice me either. I do this to mostly attractive young women anyways. I havent once gotten a dirty look. the most recent was a women in her 40's wearing gladiator sandles, red nail polish. Very cute feet... While at outdoor concerts I watch all the girls feet in the grass areas.. Its erotic without the sex, Like the feeling is sexual and I guess Im getting off from it, But no erections do I get, just a overwelming feeling of joy to see all the barefooties.. the little cute toes and it kinda soothing and peaceful. If I really think about it that way. But I can act on my foot fetish with my gf... As this one time I remember I was at a concert last summer and she didnt go, I didnt see her barefeet all day.. But seen hundreds of others.. Come to say I came home and had the most amazing sex.. And all I could think of and picture was cute female toes dancing in the grass to Ratdog.. Im hooked on So you think you can dance, Cause of the sexy barefeet on female dancers, just amazing.. Or even while they have shoes exposing the foot. Ill keep you posted on any new toes I see in public. Much thanks for making this thread...
I havent't seen anyone barefoot in public for years, i can't even remember the last time i saw someone.
Poor guy. You should live in Miami Beach like me. Year round bare feet, sandals and flip flops. :drool5:
It's not that unusual to see people go barefoot up here. I spend some of my spare time in local nature reserves and country parks, and on warm days there is usually two or three, at least, with no shoes in sight, and earlier today there was a group of children playing in my street and one was barefoot with no shoes in sight. I have seen him barefoot before on his bicycle, so he obviously likes it!
EVEN in stores, restaurants, other public places? This is America, remember. Yeah, your climate would allow a frostbelter like me to bf even in your coolest weather in January. But climate doesn't have these mind-bogglingly stupid rules.
I NEVER see anyone barefoot. Makes all those signs against it seem ridiculous, and unnecessary. Everyone's already in compliance.
The UK is quite a good place to go barefoot;- no one bothers you anywhere ever, and the mild winter this year meant i only had about six weeks or so when i had to be shod. And i'm not the only one doing it!
I remember that about your country. I took my bad habit of wearing (mostly nice) shorts over there on our one visit, in 1990. I got two comments the whole trip, but no hassle, anywhere I went. One pub I remember, Mark Cross in Sussex, had a "Smart Casual" sign on the front door. I asked them if the type of shorts I had on would be OK and they said I was fine. Nowhere else did I see any such sign. I get the idea it's mostly a leave alone society. The stares may be there, but not much else. I don't know what's wrong with US.
