hello growers, i have a question for you experienced growers. where, in your opinion, is the best place to purchase seeds. i have had some bad luck with germination rate. with the price of beans being fairly high i dont particually like only getting 3 flowers out of 10 beans. your help would be greatly appreciated.

What way r u germinating the seeds???? the way that i thinks woks best if you moisten a paper towel and wrap the seeds in it and place them in a plastic bag for a few days and they will be germinated. place them under mettress or sumwhere completely dark. but a few good seed websites are www.ganjaland.com , www.kindseed.com , www.legendsseeds.com , or just visit www.marijuanagrowing.com and that will have a complete list of seed companies.

I heard as long as you cover the pots or cups with plastic then water to increase humidity you dramatically increase germ success

Davisshooter: describe for us the germination technique you use. I have had a near 100% germination success. You might look at your technique versus origins of seed. b1

This is a very good link to find out which seedbanks are on the up/up and which are not.You can be positive about making your own decision from that info.

I found it alot more successful if you soak the seed in distilled water for 2 days, then put it in a small tray for seedlings. put it 1/2 inch deep into the soil, weaten soil slighty, then cover seed with warm dry soil , and water over so everything is moisened. Put it under the light and let it grow.
I have never had a good success germinating seeds any other way than this...strange eh?

Hey guys, I just posted my germination procedure once again for a brudder in greenland or ireland. I'll copy it here for whatever it's worth:
Seed germination: seeds will germinate when given 2 (two) basic conditions 1) darkness and 2) moisture.
Procedure: fill a glass of water and throw your seeds in the water and place the glass in a drawer or other dark place for 12hrs. Visit your glass after 12hrs, tap all seeds floating on top and try to get them to sink. Prepare the pot you are going to grow the plant in (since I don't like transplanting, the pot I use is the one used for the life of the plant>>a 4gallon pot) by filling it with the soil you use and prepare the center of this soil by adding a small handful of the starter soil mix. Starter soil mix is an equal mixture of perlite, vermiculite and spagnum moss.
12hrs later you'll retrieve your water glass and find most seeds on the bottom, some showing a small split along the edge of the shell and a little bit of the sprout sometimes too. Pour of the water, slide one seed up from the bottom with your fingertip and gently remove it and place it about a quarter inch deep into the center of your pot's starting soil center. Poking a little hole with a twig or toothpick or such works well and then cover it up lightly but completely.
Now your seed is dark and moist and you can have your pot just sit in normal daylight. Make sure the temperature is halfway decent, like 70deg F or so; and you wait until the seedling emerges!
Initially the little plant is able to absorb very little light so using a fluorescent growlight of small wattage will do just fine and you can keep it close to the plant because it doesn't generate much heat at all. And if you give it 24hrs of light it'll grow just a bit faster compared to shorter cycles and will do so without any noticable differences compared to shorter cycles as well.b1

    Hello from Austria!

    Just have a look at www.hemcy.at !
We are from Austria but shipping would be only $7.
I think the seeds are pretty cheap for top- quality!
And if you always have problems with germination you will be really happy with hemcy seeds, because two thirds of the 12 seeds will be female!!!
Check out all strains, especially ALPHA BUD and INCA SPIRIT!!! They're great! Perhaps you like them!

    Nice greets, Raita&Joachim

Hey, where I live I can't currently get seeds, or good weed(All we have is cheap mursh, and just as an experiment I was considering trying to plant the seeds from the mursh I've been buying. I can garuntee the stuff I have has not been stomped in any way shape or form. Would I be wasting my time, and even if something did grow would it be worth smoking?

    Maybe-

if it's brown, seedy stuff, than the seeds may have the potential to be better than the weed you're seeing.

shitty weed can always have potential....if u kno wut ur doin or just want some beginner plants go for it. But if u want to u can always just buy some seeds, to bad theres no chronic around (im sure if u searched u could find some), nothing like the brick weed from MEXICO chee hee...lol tastes like ass but if u grow it urself it wont be as shitty....sometimes i find buds out here that seem shitty looking but it does the job,
