The other day, I was trying to remember where Nepal was because my new friend Shikhar is from there. I couldn't for the life of me place it (sadly, not even which continent...), and I thought to myself, "Next time I need to make sure to learn all the countries when I'm young so I'll remember them better." Now, this thought did not occur in so many words, but that was the feel of it...that I'd have another chance to build a foundation of knowledge as a kid, or something. The thought came so naturally and subconsciously that it didn't at first startle me, until I really thought about the implications. PS: Nepal is under China and above India for those of you who are geologically-challenged like me.
