We had great weather last week. A couple of the days it reached 100+ degrees F. Today is rainy and muggy.
It was the best day of the year thus far. I am sure she had a wonderful sunny birthday and as a bonus tomorrow is a holiday, so most people don't have to go to school/work. However, tomorrow we get rain again. Gotta wait for the next sunny day a few more weeks probably.
Normal is sunny weather at this time of year. It's friggin' spring time, it's supposed to be all sunny and flowery and little lambs are supposed to frolic around in the lush, green meadows. Instead we get this drab, grey rainy days that depresses the entire nation.
Thank you for reminding me of this great song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sTJ7AzBIJoI"]Baz Luhrmann - Everybody's Free To Wear Sunscreen - YouTube
I remember that song!!!! And yes, sunscreen.. I'm having a melanoma scare right now that I gotta go to the dermatologist about. And let's just say... I got MASSIVE sunburns, w sun blisters and all as a kid. BAD SUNBURNS. bad. My son tho aint gonna burn like that.
I got sunburned today myself. I don't like to have to use sunscreen unless I am going to be in the sun for a prolonged period of time. Otherwise, I prefer to try and limit my time in the sun. Sunscreen blocks your skin's ability to produce vitamin D, so you lose tons of the benefits you get from being out in the sun.
Well, it is good to get about 20 mins of "unblocked sun" a day. It's not good tho to stay out for 5 hrs in the summer w.out sunscreen. (not sayin anyone doesn't know that, lol).
We see about 360 days of sun shine in my part of the world each year . People look foward to rainy days hear in Arizona USA . Today it was in the upper 90 f , 115 - 118 f is a few weeks , but as they say its a "dry heat " . p.s. http://www.thedryheat.com/ http://phoenix.about.com/b/2005/05/23/its-a-dry-heat.htm http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=dry heat
when i lived on donner summit, we used to get a couple of months each of spring and fall, two days of summer, and the rest of the time it snowed.
I've seen many lambs in the green grass around here. They're hilarious to watch when they bounce around (like every year). Last week sucked around here with the weather, I guess it can differ a lot in a small country as well. I enjoyed some more sunny days this year but yeah, it's mostly cloudy in the north too. Ah well, that's the netherlands! My brother who works outside alot is tanned as fuck though so I guess if we really wanted to enjoy more sun we could have
