Intriguing article, thanks for sharing. And yeah not sure to what extent it matters (to me at least) that he invented his Seasick Steve image. He really does play the self made guitar and all. I saw him live and do not care a lot. Technically though he might fit the term fraud now. I hope he keeps doing his musical thing as long as he and his fans enjoy it :cheers2:
doesnt bother me if he's a fake like 99.9% of the rest of the entertainment world i hope he's honest with his family and friends though
like spiff said, almost all entertainers put on a front to be popular or sell records or just to have an alter ego. this is nothing new except he was better at making his stage self separate from his real self.
