I just went and bought a fairly small bottle and had a few questions. Do I need to rinse it out after spraying it in? Does it cause frizzies? Will it dry my scalp out? Help is very much appreciated. PEACE&LOVE.
hmm, I don't think you'd have to wash it out but I could be wrong. I'm watching this thread, cuz I'm wondering too if it would dry out your scalp-ouch!
well obviously if you spray too much itll dry out. as far as washing it out, i dont think so either because you have to let it set in and let the salt do its job, im sure you wash it out when you routinely wash. as far as spraying it in, i have seen posts in threads and some say not to spray it directly onto the scalp, rather, hang your head down so your dreads hang towards the floor and spray it in.
it can buildup and can really iritaste the scalp i generaly would rince it out after a couple hours it doesnt have to stay in long to do what it does and u dont need it all the time some ppl do leave it on for days though others have said it really iritated theyre scalps the 1st times id use it id rince after an hour or 2 to be sure then if its ok extend to as day
Back when I used to use DHHQ's Locking Accelerator, which is essentially a saline solution, I sprayed it onto my damp hair after washing and it worked a treat. I did get a couple of sore areas on my scalp where I had sprayed a bit carelessly but that was my own fault really
I also have the DHHQ accelerator thingy, and I may have to start using it again How often would you use it? Weekly? Every two days? I dunno xD
Well when I had it I was using it with each wash. I haven't done any salty rinsing at all though since that ran out several months back. I guess just go by what your dreads are telling you...
Amy have you tried their tightening gel???? I thought that would be a better alternative for me since mine seem to be really fragile and falling apart since I detoxed the wax use
No I haven't Callie...but you should probably try one of the nifty recipes from this place, I'm sure they'd be better and cheaper
Also, have you tried using cider vinegar yet? You've dyed your hair and stuff haven't you...you might find the vinegar really helpful to neutralise any dye-residues that may be lingering...
I did a cup of hot water and 1 tbs of sea salt and it made my dreads feel amazing I just poured it over my dreads
i just sprayed some in about an hour ago, it's bothering my scalp so i'll probably wash it out in a bit
Yes I have..not ready to rock grey dreads my girl! Will give it a try..cant stand the smell of vinegar though.....thinks back to the way my grannies house always smelled of pickles
