scrapin' resin

Any tips for those desperate times when you have to resort to scraping resin from you pipe. What's the best way you've found to get the resin out so that you can still smoke it?

 

warm up your pipe and use a toothpick or something similar to it to scrape it(make sure its metal, that works the best). Then Jus gently roll it up into a small ball and smoke it.

 

you can also fill yur pipe with some everclear shake it a bunch, and pour it over an evaporating dish

 

Use the wire from a spiral notebook, I've always found it to work the best. Plus its usually easy to find some in a pinch (hey at least all those notebooks I bought in college came in good use for something).

 

heatin it up is good, or usin a metal tool will work if you dont. i used to smoke it out of a ball, but now i would breakit up into a powder and roll it in my smokes.
alot of times you can smoke it out of the pipe without cleanin it out, by either tunin the pipe upside down, or smokin it backwards, or if it has a carb, holding the lighter to the carb. you can get nice hits that way. dont burn yourself though.

 

hold a lighter under a metal nail file ^ point or a safety pin and then jsut scratch away.

 

when you smoke it youll need a screen as resin melts when heated. and don't hit the pipe too hard cause thatll just pull the resin right through the screen.

id use those too but my mom onyl has the kind that have the little knubs at the end and its apain in my ass to break em off.
