scrap copper

I had a spare chunk of copper, so I started pounding. This is what I ended up with.




it's only about 6" across

 

pretty neat. how much does it weigh? copper is pretty high right now, right?

copper hit all time high last week as jp morgan bought 80% of the market. right now its 4.10 a pound. all time high is 4.50/lb

 

It's a piece of 32oz.

the price of copper has almost tripled since I started working with it.

theres nothing like that rich copper color. ever messed w/ creating different patinas?

I love the bright copper look but yes I do sometimes. This is a halibut I did a few years ago with a green patina I did then wiped it down with vinegar
