I don't really care about big pictures. Sometimes they make the page a little distorted, but it doesn't ruin my day or anything.

 

Not everyone has computers that resize the pictures and it can be annoying that is why guidelines are set to 600 x 600 it is being polite and considerate to other members when you keep it within these guidelines ...
