Researchers in India have created technology for harnessing electricity from water in motion using an effect called Triboelectric Effect and Electrostatic Induction.

According to IIT Delhi researchers, the groundbreaking device is able to harvest electricity from water drops, rain, streams of water and even from ocean waves. Once captured, the energy is stored in batteries for later use.

Others have developed solar cells that work at night, dramatic improvements have been made in harvesting energy from ocean waves, and the first silicon chips that harvest their own energy from the environment are already available.

A scientist in India created the first Maxwell's Demon that pumps heat from one source to another, without expending any energy in the process. Energy is not the issue, water is not the issue, with modern science making great strides in developing the basic technology for humanity to survive their own fucking disasters. In another century, science may provide the means to avoid such disasters, by killing humanity.

Yeah, it is good that many alternative sources of green energy are being developed.

Technology is neither good or bad. It is the state of consciousness of the one handling it that determines its moral trajectory and final destiny.

India is one of the world leaders in green energy production and is running the world’s largest clean energy programme, with an aim of having 175 GW of clean energy capacity by 2022. The country has an installed wind power generation capacity of 38.78 GW, with plans to reach a 60 GW wind power capacity by March 2022, as part of its climate change commitments.

The world's largest solar cooker in the Prajapita Brahmakumaris center in Mount Abu, India which can cook 38000 vegetarian meals at a time, as well as Aditya, the solar powered boat which won the Gustave Trouvé Award for Excellence in Electric Boats and Boating in 2020, are some examples of India's achievements in the field of green energy.

“Science does not have a moral dimension. It is like a knife. If you give it to a surgeon or a murderer, each will use it differently.” ~ Wernher von Braun

Technology is neither good or bad. Imho, it is the state of consciousness of the one handling it that determines its moral trajectory and final destiny.
