Just wondering if anyone is going to that? if so it would be cool if we met up there so i could meet some good folks. me and my wife are going. we went to 38 and found out what festivals are all about. making friends :grouphug: , music :bigear: , and exploring yourself :biggrinjester: we both went crazy over it! :willy_nilly: one of the best times of my life. people who say its bad and ruined and all are just talkin shit. most wonderful place in the world. plus what festival have u heard of that hasn't been ruined nowadays?
NO ONE?!?!?! OMG this is the best festival there issss!!!! come on is everyone so lame. if u live near it i suggest u go! it rocks. guess i might be going with just my bro n wife
Acid Conspiracy, The Shaman and my awesome friend Tazzy aka peaceluvinhippietaz go there. Personface will be in attendance as well. Check you pms I'll tell ya how to find my group.
I'll be there, driving down tomorrow. Schwag is fun but definitely not what it used to be. Rothbury was the best festival I've been to in years, so when you asked which one hasn't been ruined... that one. So any of you people out there in internet-land who arent cool, stay away. Thanks.
I had a great time, except when it rained for 6 hours straight and I lost my car keys. But its such a nice area around there, especially the river.
Yeah, I was there, Carl. Sorry I missed your PM. And, you know, meeting up with you. It was a grate weekend, though. I missed out on the rain, but I was there two Maystocks ago and that rain was pretty bad. I'd guess about 4 inches in that many hours. All part of the experience!
I was there and had a great time, but I still think that even though it is a great time (which is all that really matters), schwagstock is still just a 'pretty-ok' festival as far as things go. From the people I know in the Schwag scene, things around there are changing a lot. Jimmy is no longer the property owner due to some legal issues (somewhat) unrelated to schwagstock and the new owner, I think his name is Richard Brasso or something close to that is trying to clean it up and make it 'more like other festivals' which would explain no glass on shakedown street the last couple of schwags, along with the addition of the vip section, family camp (nearly empty and right next to sewage), and a few other things. That post rambled a lot more than I thought it would, but what ever haha.
Jimmy is still the owner but Joe Grasso is the main investor now, so he calls alot of the shots. Jimmy did tell me that they have something really big planned for next summer......
Hey everyone, This weekend at campzoe is going to be a beautiful one! Can't wait to get to spookstock. We'll be leaving in about an hour or so. I'll be working at safestock, so be safe everyone, else ill put a bandaid on it! lol, HAve a wonderful time- your happy safestock worker - Shasta
Just so I don't start up a new thread, does anyone know of any festivals that are as "rad" and "chill" as this one? Hopefully around the same area, near KC? What kind of other places have recreation like that? I love the stream and the trees. The fireworks where awesome too. The colors seemed really brilliant. When I get back from where I am at, I will be looking for places like camp zoe, but I will be getting back in october! So all of the events at camp zoe will be done. One that is in the winter would be cool. Thanks in advance!
Spookstock is always at the end of october at camp zoe...so you should be able to make that show code:cheers2:
I know about spookstock. I am going to try to make it. I am going to be coming back from Iraq early october. I don't know if I am going to be able to make it. The military makes us work on the weekends whenever they want, so I don't know if I will be able to go. If I miss that I wont be able to do recreational stuff! I am going to be coming back from war! I want to have some fun recreational stuff to do! That is why I was wondering if there where any winter fests/events like that? Or some sort of gathering like a major rave or something? I figure that the people who live nearby might know of a place/event?
my best friend in missouri goes all the time. her name is belflower. she's amazing, i believe she will be attending this year. i never went to schwag though she has always tried to get me to go. camp zoe is amazing though, we went on a float trip there last year before i moved back up here to seattle. i'm going to burning man though, that should be one hell of a time.
I'll be at Shwagstock this May...it's a great fesival. Probably one of the few festies where you don't have to worry about cops getting in your face. Hope you all decide to go!
