Hi! I am a college student doing research on subcultures. If you have the chance to answer these questions that would be great! Thank you. Has hippie culture become too mainstream? What pushed the hippie movement to popularity? What is one thing you miss from 60s hippie culture? Why were you drawn to hippie culture? What hippie stereotype would you debunk?
1. Has hippie culture become too mainstream? 15 years ago, yeah. i don't think it's still a thing anymore though. 2. What pushed the hippie movement to popularity? originally? i think it was a combination of all the shitty things that mainstream culture was doing. 15-20 years ago when it resurfaced? i think it was a combination of weed and an inability for people to think for themselves. 3. What is one thing you miss from 60s hippie culture? nothing really, being an unfertilized egg inside my mom was really not all that great. 4. Why were you drawn to hippie culture? weed. plus the whole thing seems pretty cool when you're a kid. 5. What hippie stereotype would you debunk? all that free thinking, non-conformist bullshit. same goes for all subcultures; a whole bunch of people doing what someone else tells them so they can say that they don't do what people tell them.
