english roses lined your bed beneath the sheets until you bled in your sleep the table waited for you in the morning but you liked to lay among the thorns didn't you? i wrote so many letters that i'll never address you with so many poems that do not contain your name i've only entered the factors that your presence presented me with like the scarlet trails you draped across me that night you came over to sleep among other things you couldn't wait for the wounds to heal before you came to me inquiring as to whether or not i'd like to see what followed you home from the bar he still sits in the corner whispering the mobile to life while you lay awake questioning eyes downcast whether or not it is justified to deny this man his breath and each night to cradle him in a bed that might be his last
i really like the beginning of this! the last part lost me though, but i think i have a.d.d. i have a hard time really sticking out till the end of longer poems (as you can see from my poems getting shorter...)
it's not ADD, you're an indigo kid! and yeah the middle of this poem is a bit tedious. i think the beginning is my favorite, but i like the end too. the middle was the hardest part to write. i had so many ideas i wanted to express...
To me the middle was NOT tedious....so maybe it spoke truth too vanilla....but this meant a lot to me...jealous, but glad you wrote it, so that I could discover it...you've no idea how much this touches....
"The Indigo Child is a boy or girl who displays a new and unusual set of psychological attributes, revealing a pattern of behavior generally undocumented before. This pattern has singularly unique factors that call for parents and teachers to change their treatment and upbringing of these kids to assist them in achieving balance and harmony in their lives, and to help them avoid frustration." http://www.innerself.com/Parenting/indigo_children.htm instead of learning disabilities, it's like kids "with ADD, ADHD, dislexia"- they aren't disabled, they simply are insecure owners of open, existential, intellectual minds.
