Ye ol Warthog, as we fondly called it. The ugliest but coolest sounding military aircraft ever!

I believe it's one of if not the longest lived current aircraft. I know we used em in Vietnam, and we still do. They were on the brink of extinction, but the OIF and OEF ops brought them back. They're finely suited for sorties and aerial ops and strikes of the type we had to fly in oef. Or, Afghanistan to civilians. Same deal with the jungle in Vietnam. They're slow enough for recon. Jets are usually too fast. Choppers can be too easy a target. Do bring in Da Hog! LOL

But yeah, that nose Cannon sounds fearsome. And I'm happy yo report that during OIF and OEF it gave many a ragheads their wish to meet Allah!

Just saw two flying over head yesterday. No, wait, it was three.

Used to hear their guns all the time, but I'm further away from the fire zone now.
