I was disappointed in this movie. From the preview it look like it might have been a descent one, but it just seemed like the writer/director took the easy way out. For a small portion of the movie, it showed how insane the ultra-religious can be, and that would have been a great premise. Unfortunately, it seems like they got scared that religious people wouldn't like it, and their box office wouldn't be big enough, so there are no arguments against the existance of god, and the religious win in the end. It was a fun, feel-good movie for Christians, but a disappointing time-waster for the rest of us.
I liked this movie, and I am no where near being christian. I loved watching it with my christian and non-christian friends alike. I think it's just a funny movie, I dunno. Although my christian friend DID see (somehow) that the morale of the story is that the gay people in the movie aren't actually gay. Could somehow else possibly link the movie to that conclusion? Thanks.
i loved the ironic humor in it and when it showed how hardcore some people are about religion, but doing it in a funny way that still got a good message across.
I am a christian and i liked it..it makes some of us who are not really as down to earth as we should be have a little sense of humor about ourselves...not for being super religious, but for the way we conduct ourselves. I initially just wanted to see it cuz it was somewhat a satire and had mandy moore in it..made me curious..I think she chooses good movies.
I never saw it but after seeing the preview: had a hot chick (mandy moore) +1 singers like to be in bad movies -1 had a scary looking drugged up ex childhood star -2 had a plot I don't understand from the previews 0 had to do with religon and wasn't a book or a movie that is almost too sick to be religous -1 was low budget-ish +1 I can't add -/+ 2 It gets a -1 on a scale of -12-ish to normal 12ish
