Apparently Salvia Officinalis has some healing properties, too, but does anyone know of a place to get Salvia Divinorum tea?

I assume if there is no place, I should just get dried Divinorum leaves, and how would I go about making a tea out of that?

edit: link and quote was regarding Officialis, not Divinorum.

i have pretty bad IBS, it interferes with my life in quite major ways. very embarrasing and debilitating condition :(

i wish there was more easily accessible literature on homeopathic remedies. There are lots and lots of plants that help many aspects of IBS, but to get the right plant cocktail for YOU would take good research and patience. I have the patience, but I cannot afford the money to read through the scholarly articles.

Your stomach acid destroys salvinorin A.
Salvia tea would be a bucket of fail.

Also, tinctures are pretty hit and miss. Smoke it! :)

    Thanks for the tip.

Well, I may try a tincture just ffs. Think the 35$ half ounce is worth it from BBB? Or recommend any other place?

Apparently they work well for some people, I never had much luck with them though.
Worth a go if you can find a cheap-ish tincture.
Tincture will give longer lasting but considerably less intense effects than smoking.

I assume that's a half Oz of leaf?
I'd go with an extract, even 5x can send you into sally-land. :)
I've never managed to get past the dissociative headspace and light visual level with leaf.

I'm not sure what kind of trip you're aiming for though.
That'll decide what kind of salvia's right for you.

No it's a half ounce of tincture I believe made from extract... so that sounds pretty good. And I'm looking for low level healing trip for IBS...

I'm just debating whether BBB is the best place to get a tincture.

Ah, you're planning on just getting the tincture?
I'd recommend buying a low concentration extract (leaf - 5x) and trying a low dose, smoked, instead as that could be a bit risky given that tinctures don't work for a lot of people.
I've managed to access the lower levels of salvia quite a few times that way, smoking it with a little bit of weed helps the psychedelic effects along and makes the trip last a bit longer.

But are the digestive health properties of S. Divinorum due to the Salvinorin A?

I've read reports of people getting "stopped up" from swallowing the juices from a quid (similar to a tea). He could still get some plain leaf and try making a tea with it.

OP, I've made salvia tea before (strong concentrate held in the mouth). But I spit it out. You can make a light tea and drink it, worse that could happen is nothing.
