Salvia and Welbutrin

    I have been taking Welbutrin for about 2 weeks will this have any effects on me while smoking Salvia?

    Im posting this in Pharmaceuticals too.

    is it mao? is it ssri?
    ssri definitely you only need half of the dose of salvia
    maybe mao too?

    I'm not positive, but I think that the dose has to change depending on the strength of the MAO Inhibitor used, and that it isn't set at any number for all MAOIs.

    Talk to a doctor to find out if what you take is an MAO Inhibitor. =) Since Salvia is legal, you can do that!

    it is not an MAOI nor is it a SSRI put it is partly a serotonine uptake(SSRI) but not enough to call it an SSRI

    Then, in theory, the chances of you having a problem with the combination are unlikely. They are, of course, never guaranteed. If it is at all possible, I would stop taking the Welbutrin for a couple of days before you try Salvia; that may not be possible, if you need to be on the Welbutrin all the time. If it isn't, it's your risk to take or not take as you see fit.
