I'm JoJo and I'm from New Orleans, LA. Actually, I live about 45 minutes away in a small town. I have a dog, a kitty, and a parrot. I'm married with one child, a son, who is my pride and joy. He is a very sweet, sensitive, loving child. My husband and I teach him the importance of accepting, love and tolerance. I would consider myself a hippy goth. I'm part of the gothic community in our area. One of my friend's is the owner of a very quaint, quarky coffee shop where all are welcomed. There I've found myself in discussions on everything from macrame to philosophy. The only thing that is asked of the partrons of this coffee house is that you have an open mind and judge no one. This place is my little safe haven. It is great to be here and I look forward to getting to know everyone.
Hello JoJo & Welcome to the forums. You should find lots of like minded folks here on these threads. Peaceful thoughts your way.... Farmout
Hey JoJo. Welcome to the boards. I'm Brie. Yeah, I have a bit of a crossover with my lifestyles, too---I'm what one would call a "nerd," but I also am what one would call a "hippie," too. Anyway, enjoy yourself here. =)
Hey there, and welcome to the forums! I'm Lauren By the way, I like your name, Jojo. That's actually a nick name of mine lol =]
Eric Erickson said "We are the concious architects of our own personality." Why is hippy goth so funny? Why should one have to choose one lifestyle over the other? Everyone walks their own path!!! Namaste
Hi Brie! Thanks for the welcome! Living in the New Orleans area, I am always in contact with very diverse, interesting people. My favorite places welcome people from all walks of life. One of my friends is the owner of a coffee house and she even welcomes pets. She keeps a dish of dog treats by the cash register. They have their dog biscuit while you eat zuchini bread. Would I ever leave my city? NEVER!!! Although, I'd love a huge place in the counrty where I can have a huge garden and a pet horse.
