    Greetings freaky people,
I'm salty from Vancouver Island on the west coast of Canada.I was raised in Vancouver where 4th Ave in Kitsilano was canada's version of Haight Ashbury during my formative teen years.(any old hippies on here from there).Since then I been a fringe player in our great society.I have raised two wonderful daughters and been blessed with a grandchild.I work enough to pay the taxes keep the wolves away from the door, and live a comfortable lifestyle.I split my time between two properties, one in town and the other off the grid/road.I like to tinker and build machines to make life easier and less costly.I build wooden boats and enjoy sailing and spending time on the water.I have couple of gardens which help to keep my belly and larder full. For artistic endevours I play a bit of ol time/celtic mandolin and do a bit of printmaking.
I look forward to meeting some of you and exchanging thoughts and ideas.
    Cheers, Salty

What's the biggest difference between cruising in a sailboat and a trawler yacht? Answer: The sailboat only motors 90 percent of the time.
