I want to go on a roadtrip next year, just me, myself and maybe a friend. Anything I should know ahead of time? I know the usual get the car tuned up before, save money and stuff. My mom is really worried about the "dangers of roadtripping" and I don't see any. Maybe some of you who have roadtripped can shed some light for me? Maybe you can help me convince her that it'll be alllllright Brit
yeah a friend is good... well make sure you have a first aid kit, blankets, jumper cables and other supplies... even food in the trunk that you're not gonna touch good be good... if you're gonna go alone as a girl id take some kind of weapon and i know that might sound bad but you never know..... and a flash light, batteries, maps.... yah i dunno... dont be "untrusting" but not too trusting either- just be aware and you'll be fine
the whole point of partying on the road is for those moments when you start to sober up and realize you lost your cellphone, have no idea who these people you're with are, and no idea where all this beer came from. if you're going to be calm and cautious you might as well stay home.
triping must be done in a very safe area . never alone and 1 person should be not tripping "a bit stone is ok" he would be the baby sitter . and never while driving .
The roses in the window box Have tilted to one side Everything about this house Was born to grow and die Oh it doesn't seem a year ago To this very day You said I'm sorry honey If I don't change the pace I can't face another day And love lies bleeding in my hand Oh it kills me to think of you with another man I was playing rock and roll and you were just a fan But my guitar couldn't hold you So I split the band Love lies bleeding in my hands I wonder if those changes Have left a scar on you Like all the burning hoops of fire That you and I passed through You're a bluebird on a telegraph line I hope you're happy now Well if the wind of change comes down your way girl You'll make it back somehow
I have been a road dog for almost ten years. When I graduated H.S. me and two friends set sail for a cross country trip fom east to west. I ran out of money like three weeks into the trip. Instead of panicking I worked at day labor, got an environmental job in Berkley and made handcrafted pies out of the apples ready for pickin' in Santa Cruz. I never spare changed and stayed pretty safe. Just stay in touch with the parentals and close to you're friends. Don't be naive, don't ever leave you're pack alone, don't bring to much shit and carry pepper spray. Traveling isn't as safe as it used to be but lets face it you are vulnerable wherever you are. As long as you aren't trying to cop hard drugs off the streets and have a back up plan for cash you should be fine. Take advantage of the state parks camping and beware of the most dangerous travel hazard of all....the inability to stop!!! : ) Happy trails Sheilabear
Make sure you don't ingest anything while driving. That's a no no... Unless it's a fat spleef or somethin, yah mon.
