An insightful article by the enlightened master Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev on the mechanics of human suffering...

Total identification with thoughts and corresponding emotions in the mind makes us oblivious to the beauty and warmth of existence around us and benefiting from them. One can sit in the beach or garden and completely miss the beautiful sunset or beautiful flowers from beginning to end due to engrossment in thoughts.

It is this complete identification with the thinking and emoting process and inability to detach from them, that is the cause of suffering as it is basically an unnatural state. The greater the number of desires one harbors in the form of cravings and aversions, the greater the thought process , and in corresponding proportion one misses out on the joys of life and nature around us, cocooned in our own mental worlds built of desires and fears.

there are things that can be observed in ordinary life. suffering happens when people, not always the sufferrer, hate logic, consideration, honesty and or imagination.
these are the conditions, when they exist as a consensus, that give rise to tyranny.

i only know about my own subjective experience. when nothing touches it, i am still concerned. when it does, there is almost no escape.
but i know these things are indipendent of what anyone believes or chooses not to, or believes or claims to not care about.

one escape, where there is no escape, is that the wonder of strangeness is universal.

i am not wise. i only observe.

our universe is not subject to the limitations of our species.
this is the great liberation and relief, when we are not bombarded by the angers of others, however justified (or not as may be) their roots might otherwise be.

it is a very good thing, that human is just another species, and our earth just another planet, and billions of other solar systems with other planets exist.
even the air outside your city or village, away from where there are people, to sit someplace away like that, to find a place where you can, even if, only a little while, you can sit there in peace.
