    I just found this.....

    The Russians have been cultivating ties to the National Rifle Association and Trump for six years.
    Alexander Torshin has tweeted many times about his ties to the NRA. He's one of the only Russian lifetime members.
    Torshin, a former Russian senator, is the deputy governor of the Bank of Russia and the FBI is investigating whether he funneled illegal money to Trump's campaign fund. In 2015 he claimed to know Donald Trump through the 2015 NRA convention.
    He met with Trump at the 2016 convention.

    Torshin's aide Maria Butina, another Russian lifetime member of the NRA, contacted Trump's election campaign.
    In addition to investigations by the FBI the Spanish police have implicated Torshin in the Russian mob and the Senate and House are also looking into his connections with the NRA.

    Doesnt surprise me. I remember reading an article that briefly touched on dark money flowing into the NRA but I didnt look into it any deeper. Thanks for sharing
