Normally,I walk her at a reasonable rate- sometimes speeding up and jogging- but in my sleep deprived state I had this idea we should RUN- freaking run fast. ...not thinking about the fact she was leashed to my waist and a bit of a puller. One jerk- Ignore the messy compu desk behind me - road rash. freaking narrowly avoided a full faceplant. Tore the knee out of my fav dark denim jeans, scuffed my boots, and got blood stains on my white sweater. ..and I still (wo)manned up & finished walking the spoiled ass dog on our trip around the neighborhood with my hands dripping like fucking Jesus, waving good morning to people. - Hurts worse now though.
Yeah, so I get chattier on less sleep - and started two whole whoreish effing threads. Ya still love me, right?
I wear those boots all the damn time. they are more comfy than the one pair of beat up sneakers- i need a damn heel for enough arch support it is a total pain. .. and I can't run in my sandals
eep. i used to have that problem with my pit bull/ german shepherd cross. she didn't weigh a whole lot, but the bitch was like the little engine that could. jeez.
I took a bath ,neosporined and bandaged myself up- Hubby has to work tonight I showed him, but I didn't wanna wake him much.
If I knew you strapped your dog to your waist when you walk him/her I would have warned you something like this could happen, oh well now you know the hard way.
My personal mantra about bruises, is that if youre gonna get em, might as well be doozies so they look cool.
oo I bet- I have seen pits that loo to have the the upper body strength to pull a car I don't think she is actually fully 50- she is a shorty. but she freaking pulls like mad. That is why we have to use the harness. .. a friend just recommended on of these http://www.petacular.com/shops/petacular/images/products/Gentle-Leader.jpg ..just not sure she wouldn't escape from it.
...can I blame you then? Usually ,that works better- for keeping pace/control of her...not so much ,at well, any speed apparently
that looks painful. luckily my dogs dont need leads to be walked these days, but my boyfriend threw a stick for our spaniel once and he ran straight into me, chopped me down and i face planted right on the path. dogs!!
we like the harnesses that go over the shoulders and under the body. it's easier to lift them off their front paws without choking the bejeezus out of them. gives you better control. just lift STRAIGHT up. they don't weigh too much, it's just that they're powerful. it was the only thing that worked.
