I wonder if that is why breeding is so important to these wealthy family's. There is something within their DNA which allows entities from other dimensions to use them. Communicate with them somehow.

I have heard that pure blooded reptilians can not be photographed. They can trick a human mind, and make themselves appear to be anything they wish. But a machine can not be tricked, it sees what it seees. And Rumsfeild is photographed often. The Reptilians learned this from their time in our military bases, and they were not pleased, they avoid photos at all costs now. They would appear to be human in them because A. They are very shocking to people, and B. Their existence is on a need to know basis and many even with a top secret base do not know about them. In that situation you only know your department, no others.
