Yes but he's invested in it from a realistic standpoint... he has been opposed to Rumsfeld's method. Frankly, this war is not going to be over anytime soon, but maybe now it can be done right. This is just the first step in a change of how this country will be doing things IMO,
I'm not convinced Bush would appoint someone who would want to change direction. After all, good ole' dubya thinks that we're doing the right thing so far
I watched Bush's press conference this afternoon, and honestly the rhetoric is changing already. And the commentary I've been hearing has been indicating that the neoconservatives are all gone but for Cheney. It's really hard to make any predictions right now, but I'm pretty optimistic after yesterday, and now this news. I feel good.
I could hardly understand what he was saying. He could be on "Dancing with the Stars" and win...he sure can dance around the issues. I can never feel confident I've gotten a for sure answer out of him... Maybe it's the stupid accent :-/
Bob Gates is also a close personal friend of the Bush family, imagine that. I dont really trust any of them.
Could also be the stumbling and stammering punctuated by irritating "heh heh" laughter... but... I still think things will get better, and without that kind of hope what do we have?
quite hypocritical for a guy who dresses in womens underwear with produce and powertools to point out closet homosexuals in the government, if I do say so
no one died when chief's yucca flied... ok, i'll cool down a bit but i think wars are the result of people not coming to terms with their sexuality
I'm just glad he didn't put someone in that position who actually SERVED in the military. Better to just pluck someone out of the "good ol' boy network".
