Have you noticed that Royal Mail delivers your letters about 2.00pm and when its workers can be bothered to drag their arses round to the correct door to put YOUR mail through it - they also post a handful of crap in the form of spammy leaflets that just jo straight in the bin. All that paper energy wasted because some tosser wants you to get their advertising

Just how crap does royal mail have to get before people notice its not actually doing its job properly

They introduced this about 4 years ago (the late delivery thing), I think you can pay extra to get your post by 9am otherwise it's an afternoon delivery.

I use them a lot, I think they're pretty good:D The prices don't always make sense but frankly sending a letter anywhere in the world for a few pence can't be bad:)

I get mine about 10:00am, with a friendly smile, and if I'm not home packages are delivered to the rear. I cant complain only applaud really, it's not all bad.

i think royal mail is ok, it dosent really bother me what time i get the mail delivered at home because i am not there from 8.30am till 8.15pm, there have only been two problems i have ever had with RM, the first was when i had a parcel waiting for me at the sorting office & they put that card throught your door. it says on it that you can phone a number & have it delivered back to your home address or for a fee of ten bob have it delivered to another address. well because i knew i wasnt going to be in i had it delivered to my mates address but they didnt deliver, they ended up delivereing it back to my own address. again i wasnt in so they left it with one of my neighbours, thankfully i know both my neighbours & get on well with them so they brought it round as soon as i got home.

the other problem i had was for the company i work for, we send a lot of packages to our installers out on sites around the country, normally we will send by TNT but if is only something relitivley small like screws & washers we send them by RM special del 9am service. well this one particuar time our installer phoned me up because he hadnt recieved the package, so i phone RM. they tell me that the package has been signed for but cant tell me who by & that it wont up date for another 24-48 hours. how rediculous is that, i cant then tell the fitter on site who has signed for the package & the job gets delayed because they dont have the equipment or fittings they need to continue the job. TNT can tell you straight away whos signed for the package.

apart from those two little problems i dont really have any problem with how RM operate & the time they deliver. i can see how it would cause a problem for some people. i do know from chatting to our post man here at work that the reason the post sometimes arrives late is bacause they have a serious shortage of postmen. alot of post men have many rounds so unfortunatley they cant deliver all the post before 10am. even some PM who have a couple of rounds have to cover for others who are off sick or on hoilday, its hard work delivereing post & they have a very early start, & they are only human after all!
