So this guy is a Hungarian gipsy who looks disturbingly like Ron Jeremy and is probably the greatest violinist on the planet. He's not strictly classical (major folk/gipsy influence), but his performances make Paganini sound tame. Easily some the most ridiculous musicianship I've ever heard and it seems that very few people actually are aware of him. Listening the his album Fire Dance right now and the first song is sheer virtuosic insanity while the second song (Papa Can You Hear Me?) is about to make me cry. If you have any appreciation for the violin at all please please please seek this man out.
It's so good to read about him here... you know, I'm Hungarian and I'm glad to see that he's known even in the US. He's really one of the bests.
