This is Boston Dynamics and, although the pentagon bought them at one time, they quickly sold them again. As the video shows, they can be very entertaining, but their robots are way too noisy among other things for the pentagon to use them. AI is becoming so advanced that even more impressive robots and drones should soon be coming on the market, with the pentagon and IBM working on the cheapest way to cram roughly the equivalent of a cat or human brain in a coffee can using memristors, and it looks like they might have all the hardware and basics worked out. The pentagon never does anything small, and the pace of technology is so great they deliberately went straight to attempting to shove as many cheap components in a coffee can as possible, assuming they might want something with the reasoning ability of a human or better. People don't feel me when I tell them these machines don't have to think like you do, they have to think better than you do.
