Rob Zombie to write, direct Halloween 9.

Was announced almost a week ago, but I do have some mixed feelings about this as well.

 

was it another sequel or was it the remake?
last i heard the studios were debating wether or not they should remake the original, or do another sequel and then a remake was decided last week with zombies name attached.

 

sequels and remakes of horror movies are always crap (cept Halloween II and Wes Craven's New Nightmare)

 

Alien 2, Halloween 4, Dawn of the Dead, Day of the Dead, Devils Rejects, The Thing

the others sucked

 

This is according to Zombie "This the new HALLOWEEN. Call it a remake, an update, a reimagining or whatever, but one thing that for sure is this is a whole new start... a new begining with no connection to the other series."

but the Thing did too, I can see how people would like it, guess it just wasn't my thing

 

I don't know why Zombie would waste his fuckin time on Halloween.
Shit he can come up with something better than this

 

No he cant, as good as devils rejects was, what originality have you seen in his 2 movies?

 

What originality will he bring to Halloween..... it's all been done before.... It's dried out

Anyone here a member of the official message board? I am. There's a HUGE discussion thread over there that Zombie himself participates in. Sometimes he even answers questions for the fans. I was worried about this "reimagining," as he and the studio call it, where it's supposed to be part remake, part prequel. That is, until I saw Zombie on the board asking and answering questions.
