the sign rising on the eastern horizon at the precise moment you passed from the fetus stage into the fully developed human existance

your ascendant is an extremely important placement in you scope...MANY ASTROLOGERS believe it is indeed the MOST important sign in your chart....it is considered the sign of self, signifying the 'thrust' placed upon your life.....like Soulless l l Choas said correctly it's like an outward mask...a big part of your rising sign determines your 'image'.....the way you deal with others

the 21st Century studies of Astrology, accompanied by the the use of astrology for "fun" turned the focus more to the Sun Sign. One thing seems to be undeniable in Astrology: the combination of your Rising and Sun sign make up your 'self' you most outwardly project.

I've found in the study of my own cosmic placement that my Capricorn Rising determined SOOO much of the happenings of importance throughout my 20 years of my current life & PASTLIFE, as the sign holds a grasp on thisidea

I loked it up, and it said
that's not me even a little, so I supose it varries person to person, lol. Authoratitve is definatly not even a little me, and industrious boss figure is just funny, lol.

Yea, well that little rundown of the Capricorn Rising doesn't sound very accurate either. So many of the sources in Astrology are full of nothing but bullshit .... from what I find at least. I found a really good book on Rising Signs at a bookstore...I can't remember the name of it though unfortunatly. But, anyways, didn't buy it, instead just sat in the bookstore and read about Capricorn Rising for about 3 hours.....some of the most informative information I've read about my cosmic placement in all the study I've done in my Astrology.

From what I remember I can tell you this....Im hopin to buy this book soon so I'll be able to fill you in with more detail hopefully later on. But, for now....

First off, you want to take a look at what the Ascendant placement determines so look at what I posted earlier about the Rising Sign in general.

One fairly common side of a Capricorn Rising is be a bit more of a serious person than most others, not to say that Cap Risings are mean or anything closely related but just rather serious about life...realizing things matter basically. Often quiet with strangers, but opening up after becoming a little more 'at-home' with a person...becoming warm and friendly. Usually have a blessing for crystal clear communication with others, especially when feeling comfortable. Cap Rising are very strong personalities with a determination to accomplish a betterment of themselves and their position in life. This doesn't necessarily mean it has to be in the terms of stacking money, but could very well mean something just as simple as a desire to truly find the perfect situation to be happy, whatever that may be. Sometimes, though, may accomplish but still be unhappy and search for what's "missing".

For a Capricorn Rising's life to be meaningful to others is a large desire of Capricorn Rising. Quick, clear thinking and the ability to concentrate are gifts. May sometimes be perceived as too calculating at times. The ability to see right through others and spot their weaknesses is a large talent....and Cap Risings may not be entirely against using this ability to help themselves.

I remember reading we tend to worry often over what could be considered the more important issues....in youth of what we will do with our life, in midlife worry about accomplishment of our goals we set for our life, and as we get old to often worry about death.

Cap Risings enjoy achieving for themselves, not off the expense or gift of others. Also, another common quality is the act of hiding their own feelings, usually the negative. They enjoy exercise, in particular of the legs. Often smaller heads with deep and penetrating eyes and pretty smile. Capricorn Risings are said to benefit greatly from marriage, in both inner and material happiness.

thats about all i can remember right now and take from my notes. I hope maybe this is a little more insightful for you Paix. Remember, take a look at the role the Ascendant plays in general and also just realize that Astrology is a combination of many variables, the Ascendant being only one...but no doubt a very big one, maybe the most

Oh yeah, almost forgot something very important....your Rising determines your Ruling Planet, which in both our cases being Cap Risings, our Ruling Planet is Saturn...Celestial Taskmaster....which I can assure is a gift, yet definetly doesn't make things a walk in the park....but I've concluded this is only because those under Saturn are given uncountable abilities .... to be used with a definite purpose. Saturn is known for throwing huge obstacles in your way...in good intent of course, but surfically not. Rising signs determine the placement of your entire Natal Chart.

thats interesting... you're the first I've come across this placement. We share Ascendant, then our Sun's are in opposition to each other. Im curious to your chart, but at least your moon...do you know which sign your moon is in? Have you found your gift(s) of expression? I would definetly say you have one based on you being Cap Rising, Pisces Sun in ... 3rd house

hope this helps you see the map a little more clearly :) namaste

it certainly does, ever informative and a great sig to boot!

I'm afraid I don't know where my moon is, I've never had my chart done, but it would be interesting. I in fact have found my gifts of expression, singing would be the first, it's one of my life's passions, and I make pottery and write a bit too, so I guess I sort of lucked out with that placement of planents, huh?

Well, since you already know your Rising that helps with the chart....usually that's the hardest information to get from a person. It'd be no problem for me to write up your chart for you if you'd like....I love exploring charts for other folk. If you want to pm me your birthday and ,if you know it, the time of day you were born and the city/state....since you already know you're Ascendant that will take the first step out and ease the chart up a little.

and yes...Capricorn Rising is a great placement for Ascendant

it depends on the combo in your natal chart, i have a capircorn rissing, but my sun is in gemini. Which makes me quiet in termes of gemini's go.

I think that I'm aquarius rising, atleast, according to a "rough chart" on a website. But in reading it's description, it sounded EERILY like me. I always think the leo pretty well describes me, (especially when balanced with a little virgo, since i'm on the cusp) but this was bizarrely accurate. It even said that I'm likely to be prone to ankle and lower leg problems and nervous disorders, which are both true.

I went to astro.com. They do natal charts for free, and that's how I got mine. I'm a Sagittarius rising, sun in leo, moon in scorpio, mercury in leo, venus in venus (which I hate), mars in cancer, jupiter in libra, saturn in libra, uranus in scorpio, neptune in sagittarius, and pluto in libra. When u do your chart, there's a way to click on all the houses & it'll tell u what they mean. Hope that helped:)

Okay, I tried going to astro.com, but I'm only seeing natal charts you have to order and pay for. Where are these free things?? :)

Sure can:) the triangles mean trine(2 planets 120 degrees apart or within9 degrees either way of 120) which is a good thing. It basically means those 2 planets are looking @ each other in a friendly way. The little astrics mean sextile 60 degrees or 6 degrees either way of 60), which is the same thing. The squares mean just that (90 degrees apart or within 9 degrees either way of 90). o's mean opposition(180 degrees or 9 degrees either way of 180). Those mean those planets are not looking @ each other in a friendly way. You may have 2 work a bit more w/those. The cirlcw/a line means conjunct, which means 2 planets are in the same degree in the same sign or within 10 degrees of each other. the < means semisquare whis is a ligter version of the square, & the square w/the tail means sesquisquare which is 2 planets 135 degrees apart or 2 degrees either way of 135. It's a lesser degree of semisquare. Hope that helped a bt:)

What does that mean exactly? What does it mean they're in the second house?
