I got ripped off on Fremont Street last night.......In case it helps anyone else the following is the story.

Went out onto the street. Was at the lights waiting to cross. Black dude, calling himself Carlos nudges me and asks if I am looking for some bud. Figure when in Rome........Tells me normally $120 a 1/4 but he can do $75. Seems a bit steep but wtf, when in Rome.....Tells me I can see it and smell it, etc. before I close.

So we head down the road to a hotel, passing a smoke shop where he says he works, he points out a security guard who is in on his deals....

Once in the hotel casino he disappears for a couple of minutes and promptly returns. Product is in a twisted off remnant of a grocery bag but ....quick, here comes security...hurry man!

So it goes down...As I leave the casino I take a look, feels a little damp but otherwise not bad, but no scent.

Turns out it was old paper, made soggy, then dried somewhat. Texture good but no smell....Washed it down the can - may as well of washed my $75 down there.

Con was well put together but preys on the insecurity of tourists. Lesson learned? Make sure before you part with the cash. Do not be rushed. You can always walk away from the deal. You have probably guessed he did not work in the store and nobody knows him.

That is a typical scam here. Vegas is filled with these scam artists. Never, and I mean never buy anything here from someone you dont know. Let's face it, you got lucky you just lost 75, and werent set up by metro and taken to jail.

I remember I ended up tipping a taxi man $6 for a $20 journey. There were several tipping options displayed. I was in a rush to catch a buss to LA, so when he said this is the cheapest one, and I touched it. It said 20%, but it ended up being $6. I should have just awkwardly asked, "how do I not tip"!!!!!!!!! Imagine asking that? Some people would be ashamed to ask that... I wouldn't!

That's equivalent to 20 minutes work down the drain. Anyway, at least I wasn't as big a fool as some of the other people here!!!
