Rinbows suck!

Bunch of dirty freeloading vegabonds is what you are. Lets travel to the National Forrest , eat jimsom weed , get hauled out by ambulance left and right , crap all over the place and call it a gathering. I was fortunate enough to see this sad debacle for myself while climbing in the grand canyon in 94. A gathering was going on in the Kaibab National Forest so me and my buddy decided to see what all the hoopla was about. We each had enough liquid L to give every resident of Withita Kansas a good dose had we wanted to. Upon getting to our campsite I broke out a bottle of fine whiskey when I was confronted by people that I couldnthave that here. I had to go to another camp called A-camp if I wanted to drink. I told them to fuck off and I will do as I please. After me and my climbing partner had dropped about 500 micrograms each and finished half the bottle of whiskey , I decided that I was hungry , and those cutthroat trout I had in the cooler were sounding a might taste. As I lit the grill a group of other rainbow "elders"told us that that was prohibited. Once again I told them to fuck off. Anyway , they seemed to not like us , but they had no problem trying to beg killer ganja and liquid L off of us. They would come up to me and give me a rock(not a crystal)as a gift and that meant I had to dose them or give them gang.

first off ther gathering is a family & nation not a drunk drug fest

within families we dont say fuck you to our brothers & sisters for just tryin to teach you how we do things

I never said fuck you to anyone , but that is about what it came down to as I continued to drink and grill those delicious trout fillets. We were actually there doing some climbing and kayaking waiting for the late summer Dead shows in Shoreline and the fall tour to commence.

 

If you didnt like it so much, Then why were did you stay? Simple! You leave!

 

maybe u should have gotten out of the woods...or found another place to set up camp away from all those unsavory people u didnt want to be with...or stayed, and did things the way everyone around u wanted it....either way its ure own fucking problem, why should i have to hear about it... next time, find somewhere else

were asked to move your camp...as to keep the harmony in that area.

i have been thinking of coming to a gathering this summer, but a post like this throws me off. he wasn't there for a gathering, he was there for himself. its a national forest.

i must ask, what the fuck IS wrong with him drinking whiskey and grilling food? i was under the impression that rainbow was volunteer and there were no official rules. this guy seems like he was trying to mind his own business and enjoy the forest... why do the rainbows feel the need to go impose their values on someone else numerous times? if the rainbows didn't like him, why didn't THEY just leave him alone?

i always read these posts about how rainbow represents individuality and personal freedom, but it seems to me that it can become another dead-end set of cultural limitations. and yet everyone is trying to defend themselves, defend their precious "rainbow" tribe. why don't you admit that it kinda sucks?

and about the drugs, don't fool yourself. there are plenty of blissninny's(myself included) that would drop their criticism if it meant free doses.

what is that? are you accusing me of being on "the other side". im not a part of "babylon" or the "rainbows" or anything, im a human animal that says what i think. i have spent a long time in what you call babylon and im sick of it. what i'm trying to do is figure out where i wana go and what route i wanna take so all i'm doing is calling the rainbow way of life into question before i jump right in. i think i have a right to do that and i believe that critical thinking is just as valuable as any uniquely human characteristic (spirituality, art...) and is something that should be celebrated. isn't that whats going on here?... a celebration of the human in all its natural forms?

 

I didn't mean for you to take offense, I wasn't speaking of you personally, it was more directed at the hatred behind the OP. Alot of people like to judge rainbow ways and practices before really understanding it all. I've seen this time and time again, hence why I refer to it as "babylonian bullshit". It is an indoctrinated state of mind that causes much of the animosity, ignorance, and sheer xenophobia of many people both towards rainbow and outward from rainbow. That indoctrinated state of mind in my humble opinion is "babylonian bullshit" it comes not from the rainbow world but from babylon.

 

I'd like to meet these 'rinbows,' they sound interesing, where can i join? Is it anything like the Rainbow Family? :tongue:

It sounds like the OP was looking for it to be a one way street out in the woods. But it's hard to get respect if you're not giving it. I don't just mean respect for actions, but for intentions too.

Yeah, the not using the grill, is because of the forest service open flame restrictions, not because of hippy fascists. If a ranger had seen you with it, they would have made you put it out and given out a fat ticket. The fire restrictions there are common sense, its one of the most arid regions in the U.S. with lots of wood that dries out in the summer, which makes it extremely susceptible to fires. Its people that ignore the restrictions that is the main cause fires in the region every year that also endanger other humans, animals and forest itself, etc.
