do you think its worth my money to buy one of these? does anyone own one? and do you use it enough for it to be worth buying?

You don't need to buy one... They just take up more space. I make a lot of rice and steamed veggies and it is actually easier to just use pots and pans. You just need the right stuff, is all.. I buy long grain rice that you have to boil for 20 minutes, and then you buy this metal colander thingy and fill it to a certain level with water, put the veggies in and steam it like that for about 20 minutes or so depending on the veggies.

However if you do a lot of other cooking with your pots and pans at the same time, it can be convenient to get a steamer to cook the stuff in while you are using your pots and pans.
