Rfid Chip In My New Driver's License

I had to agree to a fill out that my new license has the chip in it.

I had no choice.

So I have a paper one right now as my current gets programmed.

I had to get one cause im going into Canada soon.

I was told by someone when the real ID comes in. Stick it in the microwave for 10 seconds to kill the RFID. This will also go for anyone with a current Passport.

All new credit cards also have the RFID chip.

Anyways my passport is expired.

I will either zap it in a microwave when im near one, or find a way to needle punch through it, when I find where it is.

Heard some fuck up stories about people being pulled over cause of the chip as new programming has lots of effects and none are for sure.

If you are microwaving your identification, you might not want to eat out of the same microwave... just saying.

Microwave will definitely do the trick .. It will induce very high voltage currents in anything conductive effectively destroying the chip. Ever put a CD in the microwave ? That's because it induces a voltage in the foil layer causing electrical arcing effectively destroying the foil layer of the disc.

Just don't microwave it so long that the ID catches on fire. A couple seconds should be okay, u just don't want to melt or warp the card and if you see smoke it's time to stop
