i learned about Reverse Tolerance in health class today. And since i am extremly open about my pot smoking, the teacher directed this at me. we talked about the first time smoking, and not getting high. and then we talked about why i get so high from such a little bit. Reverse tolerance is the answer The more you drink of alcohol, the more you need to drink to get fucked up the more u smoke of mary jane, the less you need to get high...AMAZING i now laugh at all the people in my town saying i have a low tolerance..they can kiss my butt to all Hip forumers, the ^^^ statement is not directed at any of you. You guys are my family
No reverse tolerance doesn't happen with marijuana. It can happen with alcohol though, but only because damage to the liver makes it unable to filter out as much alcohol. And people don't get high for the 1st time because they over analyze what being stoned is supposed to be and think themself into not being stoned, or more often just don't smoke right. Inhaling is harder then it seems when it's your 1st time trying.
Um....there are actually several Case Files in which marijuana was tested...and all the sources were deemed "Credible"
Marijuana isn't one of those drugs, there are very few drugs that actually have a legit reverse tolerance property. Reverse tolerance can appear to happen in conjunction with other drugs.(i.e. medications)
im not trying to start anything...but im gonna have to disagree. Based on research, evidence, and alot of smoking..it is completely possible that marijuana can be a drug that causes Reverse Tolerance
I know you were not trying to start an argument, but despite "tests" in "laboratories", i still have to disagree with you. When i first started smoking, about a year ago, i got really high everytime i smoked, which was about once a week, then i started smoking everyday. I have been doing that for almost 8 months, and from my experiences i dont get any higher from a blunt today than i did yesterday, or the day before, or the month before. Now i'm not saying that I dont get high anymore, I still get blown, but my tolerance has stayed the same since i started smoking as often as i do.
the scientific evidence is bullshit. It's all up to you and your mind. The placebo effect. I can smoke one bowl and lay around high as shit or I can crush twelve blunts of the same and be alright to drive. science=fiction=science fiction. I say why the fuck are you listening to your teachers? highschool teachers are the most ignorant people I've ever met.
Any stoner on earth can tell you there is such thing as weed tolerance... I havnt met a single one who hasnt...
reverse tolerance ha i got to where i would have to smoke a truck before i got high then i quit for just two weeks and now its like being a baby again
"And people don't get high for the 1st time because they over analyze what being stoned is supposed to be and think themself into not being stoned, or more often just don't smoke right." I call bs on that one. If you're high, you'll know it. Time goes very slow, uncontrolable laughter occurs, and you feel as though your head is pulsating and going through a tunnel... If someone experiences that and still says that they were expecting more is a liar that is trying to seem 'hardcore'. If you ask yourself, "Is this what being high is about?" then you haven't smoked enough, because you would definitely know. I smoked a lot my first time, but I inhaled incorrectly and I just felt a little different and I was thinking to myself, "Is this what being high is about? This is pretty weaksauce =/ I don't get the hype". But when my friend told me he was experiencing something great, it inspired me to smoke a shit ton. I'm glad that I did. It was a great experience.
I know, in my experience there is no such thing as reverse tolerance with marijuana. Like, I took 5 grav bong hits the other week, and I was barely high. Thats why I started my tolerance break.
Damnit! Can't remember the username or password for my old account, Ah well NOTE : This is a property I find applies to pretty much all recreational drugs, and is not restricted to weed The way I understand it, which by all means, could be wrong, but seems to be correct, is that when you first start taking a drug, if you take it in LARGE amounts, frequently (every (few) day/s) then your body doesn't have time to 'adapt' to the drug, and therefore your tolerance will build slower to someone who takes it less regularly. Taking the drug in large amounts however will not 'lower' your tolerance to it, it just slows the build of said tolerance.
I gotta say most times even now or then when high my head is not pulsating, I dont' feel like I'm going through a tunnel, time does seem slower but if you're not checking a clock you won't notice it it and I don't laugh my head off like in reefer madness. Most people don't smoke that much their 1st time, and along with not inhaling properly they get like buzzed, and are then like "wait am i high, i think i'm high, but I may have fucked up doing this"
